Mary Beth Lentner has more than 10 years of professional writing experience for both web and print. After graduating from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Mary Beth began her formal writing career as a reporter for Record Publishing Company's Hudson Hub Times newspaper in Stow, OH, drafting articles in all genres such as hard news, features, sports, entertainment, home & garden, business, and lifestyles.

Mary Beth then earned her Masters Degree in Teaching from Kent State University and soon began using her degree as an instructional designer for a web-based training and e-learning company. In this capacity, she translated instructor-led content into web-based courses for adult students requiring training in fields such as engineering, education, real estate, banking, automotive sales, emotional intelligence, and soft skills, to name just a few.

After several years, Mary Beth decided to delve into curriculum writing and was soon working for the National Inventor's Hall of Fame Foundation (NIHFF) based in Akron, OH. In addition to writing science-enrichment curricula for both out-of-school-time and summer camp programs, Mary Beth served as the primary editor of all educational products. She continues to freelance for NIHFF as an independent editor/writer.

Staying true to her journalistic roots, Mary Beth enjoys freelance writing for Record Publishing Company's Hudson Monthly and Stow Monthly magazines. She also serves as a freelance editor for Panther Professional Services in Washington state.

Together with her mother, Mary Beth operates her own home-decor business called Keepin' It Kountry, specializing in "upcycling" reclaimed wool and vintage fabrics into unique valances, pillows, purses, and tote bags. This is where her love of finding new uses for old things really took shape, a passion that continues to inspire her today.
